This event is an important opportunity for analysis and discussion about experiences and proposals to strengthen clusters in Latin America. Angelo Oswaldo de Araújo Santos
Mayor of Ouro Preto
The city of Ouro Preto hosts with special satisfaction, the Latin American Congress for Competitive Businesses. An event which honours us very much for the excellence of the theme and the participating entities, bringing to us a prestigious group of international personalities. The meeting center of the 18th century miners society, Ouro Preto amassed remarkable cultural riches, to become in 1933, a national monument and in 1980 the first of Brazil's World Heritage sites. The city is known for the works of Antonio Francisco Lisboa, the genious Aleijadinho, and the libertarian legend Joaquim José da Silva Xavier, Tiradentes, the leader of Inconfidência Mineira (revolutionists) of 1789. Our baroque churches, historical museums and parks will have open doors to reveal to attendees of the 6th CLAC all the magic of a culture that reflects the most intense and deep feelings of the Brazilian soul.
